The DTSS project by PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency has entered its second phase, where 19 TBMs are carving through hundreds of kilometres of tunnels underground, taking waste water from the city to different reclamation plants. One unique aspect was the client taking control of the information management of the project by implementing its own Shaft and Tunnel Management System (STEMS) to handle a large proportion of the key project data. Maxwell GeoSystems MissionOS was chosen to deliver this common environment which now has over 960 accounts and around 400 active users. The project in total has 37,000 ground and structural sensors and over 15,000 sensors recording data in real-time. Additionally, some 25 TBMs are linked using MissionOS, collecting real-time data every second with data latency to users below 5 seconds, making it a world-record.
