Maxwell GeoSystems Pty Ltd. working with GLS Monitoring, the JV between Geomotion Australia and Land Surveys, have been awarded the Monitoring Information Management System (MIMS) for the challenging construction of the Sydney Metro integration into Central Station. Geomotion Australia and Land Surveys have been awarded the contract by Laing O Rourke, who are delivering the new Sydney Metro platforms under Central Station and the landmark Central Walk. This construction will involve excavation for the new underground Sydney Metro platforms at Central Station and the Central Walk underground concourse using various excavation methods and retained excavations, all close to operating railways in one of Australia's busiest transport hubs. The capability of MissionOS to relate temporary works progress and activity to the instrumentation result and ground model in live 3D is seen as a clear advantage for the project. This project continues the successful collaboration between Maxwell GeoSystems and GLS which started with the Forrestfield Airport Link and Melbourne Metro. MissionOS is a powerful and flexible data management system for the acquisition, monitoring and analysis of geotechnical and other project-related data.
